My client, a 300 bed healthcare facility in Southern NM, about 1 hr from El Paso, TX, has a need for a Blood Bank Supervisor to join their team.The Medical Lab Scientist (Med Tech) performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. This position is a working Supervisor position for Blood Bank. Responsible for the day to day operations of the department. Responsible for regulatory compliance.Minimum Education: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science.Minimum Experience: 2 years experience working in Blood Bank in an acute care facility.Licensure: MLS or equivalent. ASCP Certified preferred.Preferred:Have knowledge of AABB standards preferred.Experience with Joint Commission Laboratory requirementsExperience with Quality assurance procedures.Previous supervisory experience preferred.
