Job Description:
Title: Blow Molding Technician III - 3rd Shift Location: Salt Lake City, CA Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10pm - 6:30amShift: $28.00 - $35.00POSITION SUMMARY:
  • You will be responsible for the quality operation of the blow molding line including ancillary and downstream equipment. Responsibilities include change over's and set ups and processing of parts, materials, colors etc.

  • Control the blow mold process machine: Bekum American Double Station Machine H-155 Double Station Machine
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure continuous improvement of the total blow mold operation, including blow mold machines and ancillary, support and downstream equipment while leading the blow mold team members assigned to the shift
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical components, hot machinery, pressurized hoses and pipes.
  • The employee may be asked to perform many varied tasks which are not listed herein but are essential to the job. These tasks can range from mechanical repairs to housekeeping and other tasks.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education/Training: All of Tech I requirements must be at a superior and outstanding level of demonstrated ability while unsupervised.
  • Must understand and operate by process control guidelines and rules
  • Must understand and operate within the rules of conformance to requirements.
  • Blowing molding machine operations such are start/stop.
  • Must be able to do a correct mechanical set up of molds and blow pins.
  • Must understand and observe safety concerns.
  • Must understand the blender and granulator operation.
  • Must understand vacuum and handling system operation.
All of Tech II requirements must be at a superior and outstanding level of demonstrated performance while unsupervised.
  • Competent decision making skills. Related skills required in this grade level.
  • Process troubleshooting and restoration.
  • Complete molding machine setup and process start.
  • Molding machinery troubleshooting and mechanical corrections.
  • Schedule and production monitoring
  • Raw material usage calculations.
  • The ability to maintain acceptable production levels.
  • The ability to teach and train level I and II technicians.
  • Excellent and cooperative relationships with Supervisors and Quality personnel.
  • Reads and interprets documents and writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Outstanding decision making skills.
Related to skills required in this grade level
  • Detailed understanding of all molding related machinery.
  • The ability to operate, troubleshoot, and correct problems with all molding related machinery.
  • Mold requirements and repair needs.
  • Remove troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance.
Experience:
  • One to two years' experience and/or training in blow mold operations or equivalent experience required.
