***Pay dependent on qualifications and experience - $45,000 to $65,000 per year***About your role:The Blueprint Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles have a complete and accurate repair plan completed before entering production. Responsible for evaluating and writing the estimate with the technician performing a meticulous disassembly that exposes all damaged parts and related compromises.Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
- Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs.
- Work with the insurance companies to manage the claims for our customers.
- Complete check-ins with customers and communicate customer requests or upsells.
- Blueprint pre-repair plans on vehicles.
- Prepare pre-repair plans by accurately entering vehicle information, taking pictures, and documenting damages with proper damage and insurance notations.
- Understand and educate customers on OEM certifications during the sales and advising portion of pre-repair consulting, upselling as appropriate.
- Complete final bills for customers, ensuring the accuracy of parts coding and utilization from repair planning systems and CDK management systems.
- Prepare and review reports relating to pre-repair plans, supplements, and parts usage.
- Meet with the body shop manager to review the previous week, discuss positive things, explore opportunities for improvement, and find what is needed for the current week.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with all vehicle repair
- Responsible for ensuring that all repairs are completed right the first time, adhering to the Company's quality standards.
- A continuous focus on safety; Follows and adheres to all company safety policies, rules, and training.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Type of Experience Needed to be Successful:
- 1 - 3 years of body shop CSM or estimator experience is required.
- I-CAR Platinum certification is preferred.
Specialized Skills:
- Must maintain a valid state driver's license to drive any customer or company vehicle.
- Thorough knowledge of automobile repair estimating, including relevant software programs.
- Proficient with Alldata/CCC repair method procedures
- Organized and efficient with estimating software (CCC).
- Able to make objective and subjective decisions on the repair process, parts, and timing.
- Excellent sales abilities and overall customer service skills; Able to relate well to diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued learning by participating in I-CAR ProLevel and other industry training.
