$75,000-$80,000

Advocates is seeking an enthusiastic team player who excels at creative thinking and thrives in a unique, fast-paced setting. The BCBA will provide short- and long-term behavioral support and consultation, from intake to discharge, to adults in a psychiatric unit setting.

**Minimum Education Required**

Master's Degree

**Responsibilities**

+ Provides clinical consultation to individuals being treated on the unit.

+ Responsible for the development of assessment, intervention and monitoring strategies, including written behavioral plans, data collection processes and reviewing data collected.

+ Coordinates and/or provides training for staff working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

+ Facilitates case consultation with an individuals treatment team.

+ Participates in daily clinical rounds with the units team.

+ Participates in discharge planning when special training is required.

+ Proactively identifies clinical risks and potential safety issues for clients.

+ Ensures comprehensive and continuous communication between staff, clients, families and programs.

+ Provides an environment of quality service by meeting or exceeding the needs of the client, vendor, community and agency.

**Qualifications**

+ Masters Degree in psychology or related field.

+ Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

+ Must have extensive knowledge of applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral interventions and experience working with developmentally disabled individuals exhibiting severe behavior problems.

+ Basic computer knowledge.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication.

+ Ability to use sound judgment.

+ Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

+ Must hold a valid drivers license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
