Overview:
LIIF is seeking a creative, self-motivated professional who demonstrates a commitment to high-quality work. This individual should excel both independently and collaboratively, be adept at managing multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role will support board meetings and events, prepare all board-related reports and correspondence, provide staff support for external committees, and deliver administrative support to the CEO.
Board Liaison Responsibilities: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a CDFI or nonprofit setting.
* Coordinate logistics for quarterly board and committee meetings, including preparing the calendar, agenda, memorandums, and other arrangements.
* Communicate with board members via written and oral correspondence on behalf of the CEO, including meeting notices, staff reports, events, and publications information. Respond to requests and correspondence promptly.
* Attend board meetings, take minutes, and ensure they are prepared and distributed in a timely manner according to by-laws and CEO preferences.
* Refer board member requests to appropriate staff, ensuring timely responses through follow-up and tracking systems.
* Maintain organized CEO board files with a system for quick access and retrieval.
Executive Assistant Responsibilities:
* Manage complex scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
* Arrange travel and prepare detailed itineraries.
* Prepare and manage expense reports accurately.
* Coordinate meetings by preparing agendas, securing space, and ensuring meeting room readiness. Execute event details and follow up as necessary.
* Attend meetings to take notes and track action items.
* Proactively solve problems as they arise and provide assistance as needed.

* Supports LIIF's social justice and equity practices by identifying/using women/minority vendors whenever possible.
* Identifies ways to streamline company operations and practices for improved productivity and reduced duplication.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Demonstrated track record of supporting Board of Director activities for a nonprofit organization, and a good understanding of corporate governance in nonprofit organizations.
* Superior project management skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
* Must possess a high standard for generating quality work and a positive attitude and demeanor.
* Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working both independently and with a team.
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
* Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; proficiency with Excel and Zoom; and familiarity with databases such as Salesforce and expense management systems like Concur or Expensify.
* Experienced administrative and organizational skills; excellent communication skills, verbal and written; will be able to work under pressure; and ability to handle complex logistical arrangements.
* The position is demanding and requires excellent attendance, self-motivation, attention to detail, thoroughness, creativity, and a high degree of flexibility.
* Minimum of seven to ten years of comparable experience supporting a C-level executive.
* Travel is required at least four times each year, for 2-4 days each trip.
* Individual will be committed to LIIF's mission.
* Financial services and community development experience is not required but is a plus.
