Bodily Injury Adjuster Long Island City, NY (Queens)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Litigation Adjuster. The ideal Candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience working in a prior role and have handled litigated and non-litigated claims. This candidate will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of bodily injury claims. The candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.

Responsibilities

Review voluminous legal documents, initiate investigations upon receipt of new claims, ensuring all necessary actions are taken to gather information

Obtain detailed statements from all parties involved in the claim, including written or verbal accounts as appropriate

Document all actions, decisions, and communication in the claims notepad for accurate record-keeping

Index and track all injured claimants, ensuring proper documentation is maintained for each file

Manage and maintain a comprehensive diary for all active claims, ensuring timely follow-ups and actions

Evaluate liability based on a thorough investigation and available evidence, determining appropriate actions for the case

Qualifications

At least 2 years of bodily injury adjuster experience

Prior experience in liability and comparative negligence

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience

Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator

Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Legal Research Search Engines
