Tasca Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our team in delivering top-quality repair work while ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations. This role involves managing the daily functions of the body shop, overseeing repairs, leading the team, and handling customer interactions with professionalism and attention to detail.
* Operational Leadership: Oversee all body shop operations, including repair scheduling, technician assignments, and workflow management.
* Customer Satisfaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing repair questions, estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction in line with Tasca's standards.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on completed repairs, ensuring they meet industry standards and Tasca's high-quality benchmarks.
* Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor body shop staff, including technicians and support personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and promote a positive team environment.
* Inventory and Supplies Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor supplies, and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.
* Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
* Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the body shop, track expenses, control costs, and aim to meet or exceed financial targets.
* Vendor Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for parts and equipment.
* Performance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on shop performance metrics, including repair completion rates, financial performance, and customer feedback.
* Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of auto body repair processes, tools, and materials.
* Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage customer interactions effectively.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team effectively, with skills in coaching, performance management, and creating a positive work environment.
* Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail for quality control and maintaining high standards.
* Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to handle repair issues and resolve customer concerns.
* Financial Management: Understanding of budget management and cost control to optimize departmental performance.
* 3-5 years in automotive body repair, with prior management or supervisory experience.
* I-Car certification or other relevant credentials.
* High school diploma required; an associate's degree or coursework in automotive technology or business management is a plus.
