Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop.Technician Responsibilities:
- Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality inspections.
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate directly with shop foreman regarding the status of the repair work.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
- Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
- Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
- Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
- Participates in all required safety meetings.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using air tools and hand tools.
- Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.
QualificationsTechnician Qualifications:
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment.
- Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
- Maintains sufficient personally owned tools.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail oriented and quality driven.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.
