Job Summary:Macke Motors Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Body Shop Technician. This is a full-time, commission only position in the vibrant auto industry. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in auto body repair, and will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle damage to restore them to their pre-accident condition. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our high standards of quality workmanship. This position is located in the beautiful town of LAKE CITY, Iowa.Compensation & Benefits:The compensation for this position is $45,000 to $90,000 per year, paid biweekly based on commission. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, holiday pay and a gas allowance.Responsibilities:- Evaluate and diagnose vehicle damage, including body, frame, and paint work- Repair and replace damaged vehicle parts, such as fenders, doors, panels, and windows- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to straighten and align damaged vehicle frames- Perform body filler, sanding, and priming tasks to prepare vehicles for painting- Mix and match paint to accurately match the original vehicle color- Paint vehicles using proper techniques and application methods- Inspect and test all repairs for completeness and quality- Maintain a clean and organized work area- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as necessaryRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Minimum of 2 years experience in auto body repair or painting- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and instructions- Must possess own tools and have knowledge of proper tool usage- Excellent understanding of body and paint techniques- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship- Ability to work independently while also being a team player- Must have a valid driver's license - Ability to lift up to 50 poundsEEOC Statement:Macke Motors Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
