Job Summary: This position will inspect, maintain and repair asphalt plant equipment to plant specifications. This person will inspect and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems throughout the plant and coordinate with supervisors to make repairs. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms duties following company safety and quality protocols.Perform inspections, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.Owns standard hand tools for mechanic work.Preferred Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:3-5 years fitting & welding experienceElectrical experience: 24v DC, 4 - 20mA loop, 110v AC, 480v ACPossess a Class D driver's license or the ability to obtain a Class D license.Available to work overtime including weekends, night shifts and/or be on call as needed.General knowledge of asphalt plant operationsAbility to operate MEWP (manlift) and telescopic boom forkliftPhysical Requirements: Performance of the above job duties will require physical ability to climb steps and ladders and negotiate work areas around moving components.Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work at construction work sites where there is exposure to moving equipment, elevated workplaces, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions. Noise levels may be moderate to very loud.
