Back Of House (BOH) Team Member The Gig: At District Taco the heartbeat of our restaurant comes from our Team Members and its starts with our Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) Team Members. The ideal Team Member will be capable of managing uncertainty, willing to push the limits, and takes ownership in their surroundings. We will provide the training and development you will need to feel confident in your position and ready to serve our guests every day. We welcome all skill levels in the food service industry from cashiers, servers and hosts or no experience at all, we are always looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join us. BOH Team Member Core Responsibilities:- Greeting guests of District Taco and seeking out those who are waiting or need assistance
- Keeping a positive attitude and healthy enthusiasm for interactions with guests
- Assisting guests with the menu and altering them to potential dietary conflicts
- Resolving customer service issues with the aid of your manager
- Answering restaurant phones and taking the occasional phone order
- Providing support to your fellow Team Members whenever needed
- Maintaining the cleanliness and care of our lobby, restrooms, and patios
- Organizing of storage areas and unpacking shipments to maintain proper rotation
- The washing of equipment and small-wares items
- Bringing food to customers/expo stuff
BOH Team Member Qualifications + Requirements:- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
- Strong interpersonal/people skills
- High level of motivation and sense of self-responsibility
- Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basis
- Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
- Stand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hours
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body
- Coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects for long periods without getting tired
- Lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
- Work efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g. refrigerated areas, close to cooking
- equipment, etc.)
- Work as quickly as certain tasks demand
