Other duties may be required and assigned.• Greet and seat Residents and guests in a timely and efficient manner• Function as the Resident services contact person during meal periods• Prepare and confirm De Leon Seating Chart each evening.• Maintain De Leon Menu Supply• Responsible for processing guest meal charges• Assist Servers with serving Residents in the De Leon/Bistro as needed• Assist other associates in preparation of special meals for parties, banquets, and meetings• Assist with training of new Dining Room personnel• Responsible for making sure that proper service is given to residents and guests• Alerts Management of any concerns or problems pertaining to residents and their guests.• Informs Dining Manager of resident questions and concerns that they are unable to answer.• Act as a backup Server in other dining rooms including Bistro and Renaissance• Manage the De Leon/Bistro operation in the absence of the Dining Services Director, Dining Services Supervisor and Lead Server, including checking out Associates at shift end with their sections and side work• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation and hygiene.• Ensure all existing Associates are operating consistently and in accordance to Community standards and guidelines• Assist Dining Services management in enforcing department policies and procedures, including dress code• Provide continuous education and training to De Leon/Bistro Associates on standards and guidelines as needed• Manage the De Leon/Bistro operation in the absence of the Dining Services Director and Dining Services Supervisor, including checking out Associates at shift end with their sections and side work• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order• Communicate with residents, to take food and beverage orders, and provide service and requested items both promptly and courteously• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service• Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests• Maintain knowledge of menu in order to answer questions pertaining to food and beverage menu selections• Assist associates in preparation of special meals for parties, banquets, and meetings• Coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smooth run department• Adhere to proper food handling and preparation standards in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.
