The Bookkeeper-Accounting position is a multifaceted role that requires accounting and organizational skills. This position will be responsible for various tasks including ledger maintenance, analysis of financial data, cost analysis, fund reconciliation, posting, and inventory control. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze ledgers
- Perform cost and financial analysis
- Reconcile funds and perform posting duties
- Manage inventory control - requires tracking and entering inventory
- Analyze and interpret complex financial and operating data
- Supervise the fair and overall presentation of financial information to farm management and outside parties whenever required.
- To ensure that adequate internal control exists in all areas affecting the financial condition of the farm to protect and safeguard company assets.
- Ensure to actively participate in discussions for the improvement of the activities in the farm, but not limited to financial matters.
- Ensure to gather information necessary for the preparation of the flash report.
- Reviewing of the general ledger entries in SAP to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the figures as presented.
- Extracting the data from SAP and transferring the same to financial statement formats that are easily understood by readers of the statement.
- Identifying areas where internal control needs to be strengthened or established.
- Regular and timely updating of the books of accounts to ensure reliability, dependability, adequacy, and relevance of information for management decisions.
- Giving advice and opinions on financial matters affecting the operations of the farm.
- Managing various administrative tasks.
- Collecting petty cash data documents like cash vouchers, cash receipts, and float returns.
- Reviewing the documents collected for reliability, mathematical accuracy, and relevance.
- Inputting of data into the SAP petty cash system.
- Preparing the petty cash reconciliation statement for approval.
- Updating the fixed asset register for asset movements like transfers, disposals, and depreciation charges.
- Filing of documents relevant to the additions of any assets for future reference.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Provide excellent customer service

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Minimum three years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- ERP system experience strongly desired
