Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.

1. Accounting and Financial Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable (A/P) including vendor invoices, payment processing, and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Oversee accounts receivable (A/R) functions, including customer invoicing, tracking payments, and managing collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as needed.

2. Payroll Administration:

  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage employee time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare related reports.

3. Human Resources Functions:

  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including processing new hire paperwork and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.

4. Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
