Location: Weston, FLJob Description:As a Medical Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions related to our medical practice. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate accounting records, processing invoices, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. We are looking for a candidate with strong bookkeeping skills, a solid understanding of medical billing processes, and a commitment to excellence in financial management.Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record patient invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Manage patient accounts receivable, including tracking balances and facilitating payment collections
  • Prepare and review financial agreement forms for care plans, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct thorough reviews of care plan pricing structures to optimize revenue and profitability
  • Capture charges for services rendered accurately, adhering to coding guidelines and billing standards
  • Reconcile financial transactions and accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving financial performance and efficiency
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and financial statements
  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements
  • Generate financial reports and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and accounting standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices
  • Provide training and support to staff members on financial processes and procedures as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of medical billing processes and terminology
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
