Salary: $50-65k We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger bookkeeping, with a focus on using QuickBooks for managing client accounts. This role will involve setting up QuickBooks for clients, managing bank and credit card reconciliations, and providing full bookkeeping services, including payroll and sales tax where applicable.Key Responsibilities:
- QuickBooks Setup and Management:
- Set up QuickBooks accounts for clients, including linking bank and credit card accounts to automate transaction downloads.
- Maintain and update QuickBooks for clients, ensuring all transactions are accurately classified.
- General Ledger Bookkeeping:
- Manage the general ledger for multiple clients, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
- Provide detailed and timely financial statements to clients, helping them understand their financial health.
- Full-Service Bookkeeping:
- Handle all aspects of bookkeeping for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and sales tax filings when needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, with a deep understanding of accounting principles.
- QuickBooks Expertise: Proficiency in QuickBooks, including setting up accounts, classifying transactions, and performing reconciliations.
- Accounting Skills: Strong knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger management.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in financial data and spot discrepancies or errors.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and provide clear financial insights.
