Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and send invoices, track overdue accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Work closely with the tax accountant to ensure proper expense classifications.
- Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Process accounts receivable and payable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the Mortgage industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Strong experience with general ledger functions.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
