Job Description Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer of the New Rochelle YMCA the Accounts Bookkeeper shall maintain a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and coordinates intermediate-level accounting functions such as general ledger/account maintenance, account reconciliation, data processing, and reporting . Also, the Accounts Bookkeeper shall assist in the development and implementation of talent management/human resources policies and payroll processing. This is a full-time position with an estimated range of forty hours per week of work. This position requires you to be onsite, with one day that may be possible remote work pending supervisor(s) approval dependent on programmatic needs. Qualifications

  • 4-yr degree from an accredited college or 2 yr associates degree in business
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks a must
  • Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience processing accounts receivables, accounts payables, completing bank reconciliations, enter journal entries as needed including bi-weekly payroll
  • Must have advanced MS Excel skills and highly organized
  • Experience working with YMCA or Non-Profit organizations preferred
  • YMCA experience
  • Grant writing/ auditing experience
  • ADP payroll software
Essential Functions
  • Perform daily recording of vendor invoices and be lead liaison with all vendor relationships
  • Prepare accounts receivable invoicing
  • Process returned checks and drafts in Membership Revenue system, (Daxko)
  • Maintain detail expense records and assist when necessary in ordering facility and front office supplies
  • Perform quarterly Worker's Compensation/Disability audits
  • Record bi-weekly payroll and reconcile GL to ADP quarterly reports
  • Maintain fixed assets and insurance schedules
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • May assist with month-end and year-end closings
  • Organize resources and deliverables to best meet intended goals and outcomes
  • Respond to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner
