Direct Hire Bookkeeper Needed in Walker MI.
Our client is a growing manufacturing facility looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company and assisting with other office duties to ensure smooth operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on time, including:
Managing payroll tax withholding and payments
Assisting with HR tasks such as employee onboarding and benefits administration
Manage accounts receivable and payable, including:
Customer invoicing
New customer setup
Receipt processing
Deposits
Vendor invoices and payments
New vendor onboarding
Generate and analyze job cost reports
Prepare weekly reports for management.
Work with the CPA on monthly financial reporting and analysis
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Prepare financial statements and reports
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Use Excel, MS Office, and Outlook for daily tasks and reporting
Oversee database maintenance.
Qualifications:
Accounting degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Sage is a plus)
Strong time management and general ledger skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently
