Client Details

My client is a family-owned company who prides themselves on fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth, creativity, and teamwork. They are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and support our accounting department.

Description

We are looking for a reliable and organized Bookkeeper to maintain the financial records of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing general accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance and help optimize financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a monthly basis
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist with tax filings and prepare necessary documentation for audits
  • Manage petty cash and track expenses
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Profile

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
