Job Description:
Job DescriptionA reputable general contractor in the area is seeking a Bookkeeper/Admin/Office Manager to be a long-term member of their growing business. They are rapidly growing and a FT employee is needed to ensure all office functions are handled appropriately. Key Responsibilities:
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
    • Ensure accuracy of all financial data entries.
  • Accounts Management:
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Process vendor invoices and payments.
    • Monitor outstanding customer invoices and follow up as needed.
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Monitor cash flow and prepare reports as needed.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
    • Prepare budget forecasts and track expenses.
  • Communications:
    • Answer incoming phone calls.
    • Manage correspondence and replies as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 5-10 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and positive attitude.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with standard working hours.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
