Position Type: Secretarial/ClericalDate Posted: 9/30/2024Location: Bay Port High SchoolDescription: Under the direction of the Principal, performs secretarial and accounting duties that support the effective management of building operations. This position will include a heavy emphasis on customer service - for parents, students, staff, community members and others, as well as,maintaining accurate records of school financial transactions including receipts, deposits, and expenditures . This position is located at Bay Port High School and is a full time, full year position, scheduled from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Starting wage is $18.00/hour with opportunity for increased compensation based on a variety of District and/or State requirements and qualifications. Key Accountabilities: Customer Service: Provide caring and attentive service to all members of the learning community, proactively anticipate customer needs, and create best-in-class experiences for all guests. Communication: Listen to understand, interact thoughtfully, measure and influence the improvement of school communication streams through multiple means and methods between all key stakeholders. Daily Management of School Operations: Maintain and manage building records and organizational systems, provide a safe and caring environment for students by supporting their emotional and physical needs through triage and medical needs. Administrative Support: Act as main point of contact related to all high school financial support needs. Qualifications: Post-secondary business school training or equivalent secretarial work experience is desirable; high school diploma required. Skill testing may be administered for eligible candidates.
