Job Title: Accounting, and Auditing Clerk Employment Type: Contract Work Hours: 40 hrs./week Work site: 100% Onsite Location: 1372 E. Main St, Rochester, NY 14609 Job Duration: 1 Year Closing: 04/17/2024. Job Summary: The Associate Accountant is responsible for performing accounting and related tasks across various areas within the Accounting function. This role reports to the Senior Accountant and involves handling accounts payable, fare media fulfillment, and other related responsibilities. Essential Functions: - ccounts Payable:
  • Review and enter invoices for payment.
  • Process vendor wire payments and wage garnishments.
  • Cut checks for Capital invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Perform deposits weekly and prepare vendor checks.
  • Maintain vendor records in Lawson.
  • Prepare monthly travel card reconciliation.
  • Process workers' compensation payments and vendor accruals.
- Fare Media Fulfillment:
  • Process fare media orders, returns/refunds, and exchanges.
Education & Experience:
  • Four-year degree in accounting or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • bility to perform routine duties using established procedures and standard practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Primarily sedentary work requiring sitting, using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Miscellaneous Information:
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch.
  • Free parking available at the location with access to bus route.
  • The worksite location is on a bus route for public transportation.
  • Interviews may be conducted via phone, MS Teams, in-person, or a combination.
  • On-site role with possible hybrid work environment after training period.
  • Training will be provided.
