Job Description: Pay Range: $15hr - $20hr Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of federal, state and city laws and regulations impacting payroll operations.
- Knowledge of CUNY titles, classification systems, and coding structures in either NYC or NYS payroll systems.
- Strong analytical, evaluative, technical, and research skills to work with various information systems to audit payroll and create reports.
- Experience creating and running queries in NYS OSC PSQuery systems (PeopleSoft) and NYC CHRMS query system.
- Proficiency using computers and standard office applications, especially MS Excel, Access, Word, and PeopleSoft programs.
- High degree of professionalism and personal integrity to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and motivated with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team setting with diverse staff of all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic and demanding customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- In a confidential and independent capacity and in direct support of the Higher Education Officer and the Associate Higher Education Officer of University Payroll who formulate, develop, and implement policy and are responsible for the administration of Payroll specific provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements, the University Payroll Coordinator.
