Provides an organized center for students and staff to purchase/check-out books and other school-related items. Coordinates registration and collection for student fees and fines.MAJOR TASKS:
- Implements procedures for Bookstore operations, financial accounting, and inventory records.
- Orders, maintains, and distributes supplies and textbooks required for Bookstore operation and academic/athletic student purchases, verifying availability of funds.
- Prepares requisitions, verifies receipt and payment of orders with purchase orders.
- Maintains a record of lost/damaged books and fees required.
- Prepares correspondence for unpaid fees and student references.
- Researches quality supplies and services.
- Develops communication process for school events and Bookstore activities.
- Attends staff meetings and supervises students as requested by Principal.
- Communicates effectively with students, staff, parents, community sponsors, and vendors.
- Assists Principal with textbook management including issuance and collection from students.
- Prepares cash boxes, tickets for athletic/club events and maintains records, working with District personnel.
- Maintains cleanliness of Bookstore and surrounding area.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal.High School Additional Duties:
- Coordinates student registration for issuance of books, lockers, parking permits, and payment of required fees.
- Researches quality supplies and services for sponsors and coaches.
- Works directly with the Marketing Department and Guidance Department to provide records on students.QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and practices.
- Experience in inventory management, ordering & receiving, and cash receipts processing.
