The box office agent position functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the Box Office Manager. This position is required to provide outstanding guest service and generate revenue through ticket sales via phone and other forms of communication as well as in-person and at events asscheduled. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide all guests with a positive first impression of Cannery Hall by offering superior, individualized guest service. Accurately operates computer ticketing system to sell tickets in-person or over the phone to individuals or groups interested in purchasing tickets for Cannery Hall events. Maintains a basic knowledge of all types of tickets sold. Stays up to date on upcoming shows or events to answer guest questions.Problem solves by effectively communicating to guests to locate and deliver will-call/guest list tickets.Verify identity of guests when they arrive at the box office to pick up tickets. Maintains guest satisfaction by answering questions thoroughly, handling complaints or directing them to a manager, and assisting guests with directions or other venue information.Operates POS system accurately and efficiently; ensuring all tickets are rung in and properly accounted for.Practices proper cash handling procedures through payment collection in POS system, properly organizing money, counting change correctly and following appropriate checkout procedures. Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Experience Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred
- At least one to three years of related experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check

- Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
- Will be required to use physical capabilities including climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
- Able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Able to work in environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
