Under the supervision of the Commissioners and the Lead inspectors, the incumbent ensures adherence to all rules and regulations of the Mashantucket Pequot Athletic Division (further referred to as MPAD), and adopted rules and regulations governing Professional Boxing. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of boxing. The ability to interpret boxing rules and regulations. Must be able to observe and report non-compliance of MPAD rules and regulations to the Lead Inspector or Commissioners and correct problems when necessary in their area of oversight. Incumbent must be able to gather facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with various levels within MPGE, MPAD, and all participants involved with the event. Sound organizational skills. Ability to work inside a fast paced stressful environment, which may contain cigar and cigarette smoke and with a noise level that, is usually moderate to loud. Must have completed six hours of classroom training with the department and attended three unarmed combat events (boxing and mixed martial arts) as a trainee, to be eligible for the position of Boxing Inspector.
