Position Type: Athletics/Activities/CoachingDate Posted: 8/23/2024Location: Rosemont SchoolDate Available: 11/06/2024Boys' Basketball Coach The following responsibilities will be required for the position:
- Participation in a virtual coaches meeting with the LNAC Director on November 6th at 3:45pm on Zoom (Link will be provided)
- Conduct tryouts on identified days (alongside the other head coach) for athletes from 3:00-4:30 pm no sooner than November 8th
- Management of one Varsity team of 8th grade athletes or one Junior Varsity Team of 5th-7th grade athletes
- Teams are usually made up of 10-12 players
- Conduct practices to support the betterment of the team
- Practices are held Monday-Friday on non-game days from 3:00 - 4:30 pm in the gym at Rosemont
- Serves as the head coach for all games
- Games are held Monday-Thursday (NO Regular Season Friday Games)
- There will be nine regular season games (four home & five away games)
- Possible participation in playoff games at conclusion of the season
- No weekend obligations
- Maintain open communication between athletes, parents, coaching staff, and Rosemont School Athletic Director
- Maintain organization, distribution, and collection of all athletic materials associated with the sport
- Maintain organization of student documentation necessary for try outs and regular season participation
- Completion of IESA Coaching Certificate and IESA mandated concussion training is required
- Stipend pay of $2,500 at the conclusion of the season
- One year position, 2024-2025 School Year
The first practice can be held no earlier than November 15th, 2024. Games begin the week of December 9th and the season runs through January 23rd (no playoffs) or January 30th (playoffs).
