Job Description:

Set-up and operate a brake press to produce parts.Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.Principal Responsibilities:Ability to fractions to decimals and decimals to fractionsKnowledge of bend allowances and how to achieve them.Knowledge of brake press tooling.Ability to read blueprints, thorough understanding of flat pattern layout and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part.Reads work order to determine quantity of parts to run, parts per hour, and any special instructions for the job.Consistently meets or exceeds production run ratesMeasures product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and performs quality inspection of finished product per shop order.Sets stops on machine bed and repositions stops to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations. does first part inspection to confirm finished part conforms to specifications on drawing.Set-up and run a job without assistance.Perform repetitive work in a timely mannerMaintain a clean and organized area by cleaning/sweeping up debris and by following the 5S standardFollow and complete daily PM check listsMental and Physical requirements:Bend and lift, loading and unloading parts into the pressAbility to lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the dayAbility to stand for most of the work shiftBe able to work onsite for the duration of shiftSafe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:Safety glasses with side shields as requiredSteel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as requiredGloves as requiredEarplugs as requiredWelding hood, jacket, face shield, and/or gloves as requiredFire Retardant (FR) clothing as requiredN-95 mask or respirator as requiredSeat belts required on all forkliftsQualifications and Educational Requirements:Excellent communication skills (oral and written)Detailed orientedManage time with little to no supervision, self-motivatedBasic math and trigonometry skillsMust be able to read blueprintsAS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitmentHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferredMinimum one (1) year of experienceWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
