Pay: $185,000 - $215,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the growth, operational and financial success of his/her branch. The Branch Manager must lead a diverse team, engage in regular client interaction, develop internal and external relationships, deliver financial goals, manage, and forecast an accurate budget, manage vendors, interface with senior leadership and work to continuously develop operational team members.

Ideal candidates will possess a positive, can-do attitude and have a passion for helping others be successful. In this role, you will partner and consult with the local operations team, the national team and the client to drive win-win solutions. Successful candidates will bring a customer focused mindset as well as possess strong business and financial acumen skills. You will also provide support, direction and coaching to the site managers at each location.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Communicate, motivate, inspire team members to perform at a higher level as a team.
  • Overall Implementation: Implement ABM/ABLE Engineering Services' policies and procedures, engineering standards and safety programs in your assigned regional portfolio of managers and buildings.
  • Human Resources and Payroll: Functions within a portfolio with emphasis on minimizing liability and risk exposure.
  • Sales and Marketing: Maintain current client relationships, improve portfolio relationships and market to new clients.
  • Client Service Delivery: Support client requests and manage client expectations for designated portfolios.
  • Implementation and Documentation: Site Operational & Safety Plans and all ABM/ABLE Engineering Services operational standards.
  • Technical Management: Oversee local workforce including Mechanical Operations and Energy Initiatives.
  • Training: Provide safety, procedural, compliance and technical training for area employees.
  • Accounts Receivable: Facilitate accurate client billing and timely collection of account receivables.
  • Fiscal Management: Oversight of individual accounts and assigned managers under branch/district responsibility.
  • People Management: Facilitate career growth and development for all employees.
  • Communication: Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve tactical and strategic objectives.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement growth opportunities and new sales.
  • Business Acumen: Understand and deal with business situations effectively.
  • Financial Literacy: Understand the drivers of growth, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Presentation Skills: Engage your audience effectively.
  • Decision Making Skills: Identify essential issues and make informed decisions.
  • Drives Results: Focus on important tasks to achieve results.
  • Manage: Oversee high-profile clientele accounts contributing largest margins.
  • Deepen Client Relationships: Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the region.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze a P&L.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
