Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Branch Manager to join our team. The position is primarily responsible for the overall HomeAmerican Mortgage (HMC) operations and profitability of an assigned Branch/Division(s). Mortgage operation and profitability responsibilities include: Recruiting, training, mentoring and support of highly qualified Loan Officers; Maximizing product/pricing capabilities; monitoring and assimilation of the Processing Center's Loan Officers Teams; Overall integration of the business model from forward planning of RAH business requirements, Sales/Capture Rate support and planning; Branch cost control and management; branch facilities management; Monitor and formulate work plans to ensure efficient production that adheres with regulatory compliance and guidelines of mortgage loan origination and Customer focused execution of the business model.

Responsibilities

The Branch Manager will participate in the business planning process as required and will develop and implement business improvement initiatives as required but in any case, at least annually.

The Branch Manager is also the primary relationship manager for the Richmond American Homes' (RAH) business units in the Region. The Branch Manager will attend or arrange all necessary meetings or coordinate necessary activities in support of this function. In support of RAH's expansion plans, this position will also plan, coordinate, and implement new business start-up within RAH expansion territories.

The Branch Manager is an integral part of both HMC's and RAH's Management Teams, whose industry knowledge and contributions will be incorporated into HMC/RAH's overall business model. As such, the Branch Manager will be involved from time to time, as required, in special projects and operational meetings that have an overall organizational focus as requested by HMC's and/or RAH's Management.

Requirements

  • College degree required, in finance or business desired
  • 7+ years experience in mortgage lending, with a strong emphasis in mortgage origination, loan processing and a good working knowledge of the closing and shipping functions
  • Operational experience required including the management of a significant branch operation
  • A background in origination and/or underwriting would be helpful as well
  • A thorough knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA processing and underwriting guidelines required
  • Technical knowledge relating to mortgage banking compliance, FHA, VA, FHLMC, FNMA and other investor guidelines
  • Knowledge of Encompass & Blend is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to analyze and implement corrective action, and a strong sense of urgency must be demonstrated at all times
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • This role will not be remote.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $120,000-135,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Quarterly Production
