As a Branch Manager, your primary role will be to supervise the day to day operations of our Lansing branch servicing builders and contractors as well as providing hands-on customer service and sales direction by implementing corporate initiatives to achieve both personal and corporate goals.Essential Functions of PositionDirect customer service specialists to provide a high level of customer serviceDirect warehouse/driver staff to provide speedy, efficient, and accurate service to customer baseInsure outside sales representatives are implementing company directivesAssist with dispatch responsibilitiesAssist with inventory control responsibilitiesImplement company operational directives, company policies and proceduresEnforce employee compliance with corporate HR policies, procedures and guidelinesHire, train, manage and develop branch teamCommunicate accountability and performance expectations of branch teamProcess payroll to corporate officeProcess and approve invoices for payment to A/PGenerate weekly reports for Executive reviewPerform other duties as assignedA successful Branch Manager candidate must be career-oriented, highly motivated, possess strong leadership skills, and have the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Business and management principles and practicesProducts and a basic knowledge of sales and customer service principlesComputer programs such as MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Internet ExplorerSkilled in:Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate to different functions of the organization with the appropriate level of detailActive listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, asking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate timesCustomer service – manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitmentsAnalyzing data and situations accurately with a strong attention to detail in order to develop the proper course of action needed to be takenEfficient problem-solving and conflict resolutionTime management, prioritization and organizationAbility to:Understand customer needs by determining what is a true measure of satisfaction to that customerBuild a strong team and develop positive, effecting working relationships among team membersProvide specific and timely coaching and feedback to the team that helps ensure operational excellence as well as individual performance of a team memberAssume a leadership role, enforce accountability while also motivating the teamLearn in a fast paced and friendly environmentOther Characteristics:High school diploma or equivalency, a four year college business degree preferredMinimum of three years management experienceMinimum of three years of progressive work experience in a customer service environmentWhy Join Our Team:Competitive salary with bonus opportunitiesPaid weekly via direct depositMedical, dental, vision, disability insurance, and life insurance401k with Company matchPaid vacation, personal time, holidaysEmployee discountCompany issued cell phoneHours: M-F 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, periodic Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM during peak business seasonrecblid i59her2mswjtojxls6e3lv72mhw4li
