General Summary The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that enhance the brand's equity and drive overall business growth. This includes managing the brand throughout its lifecycle, gathering and analyzing customer and market insights, defining the brand vision, and collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams to create impactful brand campaigns. The Brand Manager also ensures that all brand-related activities align with the company's overall strategy and goals, contributing to revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities The Brand Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the development and execution of brand strategies, which can involve: Conducting market research to identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation. Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's value proposition to customers, distributors, and consumers. Defining and managing brand communication objectives and ensuring consistency across all channels. Analyzing competitors' brands to assess the competitive landscape and identify potential opportunities for differentiation. Providing management with brand performance reports, insights, and recommendations. Leading customer insights research to understand the needs, desires, and perceptions of the target audience. Recommending the strategic direction for the brand, including product line extensions, packaging, and promotional activities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between brand strategy and product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Managing brand budgets and ensuring effective allocation of resources to support brand-building initiatives. Skills and Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as the Brand Manager must communicate with team members, other departments, upper management, and consumers of the company's products. Expertise in brand management, marketing, and market analysis, with knowledge of the horticulture/agriculture/cannabis industry being a plus. Superior project management and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask, and work well under pressure. A natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative. Strong team player who collaborates well with others. Innovation: generating and collating new ideas, prioritizing those with the highest potential, and shaping the brand proposition. Critical Skills and Qualifications Brand Management, Understanding the Customer, Market Research, Campaign Development, Competitive Analysis, Marketing Strategy, Sales Planning, Financial Planning, and Strategy. Preferred Qualifications B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of previous brand management and/or sales experience. Strong knowledge of the company's brand portfolio and the ability to recognize competitive activities in the marketplace. Ability to travel to customer and non-customer sites across the U.S. and Canada. Additional Information All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and Canada. Normal office environment. This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in the U.S. and Canada. Tight deadlines, with extended working hours during peak periods. Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
