The Gorilla Glue company is looking to fill a Brand Manager role that will work on our Gorilla brand. Our company has a strong track record of growth and is growing domestically and internationally. This role will be based in Cincinnati and will support the brand in the North American region.
The Gorilla Glue company is looking for a highly motivated individual to bring big ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit to the Brand Manager role. The position will own several areas of the brand's plans, innovation, strategy, and execution. Responsibilities include management of existing pillars across the retail market (Home Center, Hardware, Mass, Food, Drug, etc.), development and execution of brand growth initiatives, driving awareness and equity through advertising initiatives, overseeing the development of new products and creating retail growth stories among other activities. The Brand Manager will also have at least one direct report.
Primary Duties
Lead Current Business Activities for Defined Pillars
- Understand the category landscape, key competitors, retail trends, and POS/internal analytics.
- Set strategy for growth and manage day-to-day risks and opportunities
- Identify upside opportunities and recommend plans to activate
- Identify risks or areas of weakness in the business and proactively put in place plans to address
- Collaborate with Sales partners to create retail growth stories and assist with customer line reviews
- Integrate brand NPD (New Product Development) into regional plans to deliver wins for the company, retailers, and consumers
Lead Creative and Commercialization Efforts
- Develop media objectives and strategies that fit overall brand strategies
- Lead creative executions from brief to productions for defined pillars
- Recommend and execute support behind brand digital, social, and influencer campaigns
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies/partners to design, develop, and execute commercialization campaigns
Lead Innovation on Defined Pillars
- Create a detailed vision and go-to-market strategies for defined strategic pillars.
- Create short and long-term new product pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D (Research and Development), Packaging Development, Project Management, etc., to develop products that impact our company, customers, and consumers.
- Collaborate with Sales & R&D functions to create product sell-in stories for retailers.
People Development
- Lead coaching and development of at least one direct report (Assistant Brand Manager(s) and/or Marketing Coordinator(s))
- Develop strong working relationships, aligning direct reports to strategies and executions while guiding and breaking down barriers.s
- Lead ongoing 1-1 support, quarterly performance/development plans, and annual reviews

- Analytical/Integrates Knowledge: Can connect data points from diverse sets of information to form a straightforward story that drives actionable insights to move the brands forward.
- Uses Judgement: Use data and leverage judgment and intuition based on experience to make timely and informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS Required: Major in Business, Marketing Preferred
- 4-7 Years of Marketing Experience
- Self-starter who is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working across a broad range of relationships, including cross-functional and outside agency partners
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including abilities to envision, enroll, energize, and execute
- POS (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) analysis experience is preferred
- Experience with digital media, analytics tools, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc) preferred
