What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities): Tempur Sealy is seeking an innovative marketing leader to drive short- and long-term growth for the Stearns & Foster brand. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing annual brand plans and collaborating with cross-functional partners to execute, measure, and optimize initiatives. In addition, the brand manager will own the roadmap for product innovation and commercialization - delivering premium, insights-driven products rooted in quality, craftsmanship, and design.
Insights and Strategy
- Responsible for translating business objectives into actionable, coordinated annual plans to deliver long term brand growth.
- Leverage consumer insights and data to sell-in and drive strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain on the premium innerspring category, with a thorough understanding of the target consumer, competitive insights, customer strategies, and sales environment.
- Leverage insights and concept testing to refine product and concepts into winning definition for product projects, technology briefs, marketing initiatives.
- Analyze portfolio and category at large to help identify opportunities for growth such as adjacent product categories and channel expansion/diversification.
Business and Product Management
- Manage category P&L, support S&OP and FP&A processes for the brand.
- Understand drivers of gaps in sales/profit performance and use cross-functional relationships to recommend and implement a plan of action.
- Lead development of business cases for new products, promotions and operational projects, including estimating sales and financials.
- Responsible for understanding competitive landscape and making recommendations for how to win in the market via product, price, promotion and distribution.
Innovation and Product Development
- Accountable for innovation pipeline (concepts, prototyping, advanced technology projects) for the brand. Manages health of the innovation funnel relative to product roadmap and brand priorities.
- Define positioning and winning features/benefits for new products, including leading advisory groups and owning financial business cases.
- Partner with project managers to lead cross-functional product development teams.
- Partner with marketing and communications team to translate insights, features and benefits into compelling marketing and advertising.
- Manage product lifecycle in partnership with supply- and demand-planning teams.
Channel and Customer Support
- Partner with retail marketing and/or sales operations on brand or product-centric initiatives.
- Independently represents the brand/products in customer/channel meetings with top retail customers
- Maintain expertise on key channel/customer P&L, sales processes, strengths and opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field. MBA a plus but not required.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant brand management experience.
- CPG and/or durable goods brand management experience a plus but not required.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a matrix organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
