As a Hotel Breakfast Attendant, you are responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience through your attentive service and assistance. WHAT TO EXPECTBreakfast Setup: Arrive early to set up the breakfast area before guests arrive. This includes arranging tables, chairs, and the buffet serving area. Ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked, such as dishes, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Food Preparation: Prepare and arrange the breakfast items, which may include a variety of hot and cold foods such as eggs, bacon, sausages, cereals, pastries, fruits, and beverages. Maintain the freshness and cleanliness of the food displays.
Guest Assistance: Greet guests as they arrive in the breakfast area and provide a warm and friendly welcome. Answer any questions about the breakfast offerings and assist with special requests or dietary restrictions.
Refilling and Replenishing: Continuously monitor the buffet to ensure that all items are well-stocked and visually appealing. Replace empty dishes, refill coffee and beverage stations, and maintain a clean and organized presentation.
Cleanliness: Keep the breakfast area clean and tidy throughout service. This includes clearing used dishes and utensils, wiping down tables, chairs, and counters, and promptly cleaning up any spills or messes.
Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations related to food handling and cleanliness. Ensure that food is stored at the correct temperatures and monitor food expiration dates.
Record Keeping: Maintain records of food and beverage consumption and guest counts for reporting purposes.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to guest needs, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere in the breakfast area.
Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and courtesy. Notify management of any issues that require their attention.
Foundational Skills and Qualities: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and prioritize work. Good physical stamina and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
