Job descriptionThe Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the complimentary breakfast area of a hotel.Responsibilities:
  • Approach all guests and employees in an attentive, friendly and courteous manner.
  • The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up and serving complimentary breakfast items for our guests
  • Some light food preparation (eggs, sausage, oatmeal, etc..)
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag
  • Clear, clean and reset tables/breakfast areas
  • Ensure all service areas are stocked, organized, clean and neat
  • Accommodate any special requests made by a guest and offer appropriate alternatives when necessary
  • Wash dishes by hand and/or placing them in a dishwasher, restock dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans or other necessary equipment.
  • Clean kitchen/prep area including sweeping and mopping floors, washing work tables, refrigerators and removal of trash
  • Answer questions about the hotel and the local area attractions/things to do
  • Perform any other duties or attend meetings as requested by management
  • Hours are 5AM to 10:30-11:30AM
  • Part or Full time availability
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform job function with attention to detail speed and accuracy
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm professional manner
  • Understanding of hotel products and guest services
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others
  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and information provide back-up and support to other team members and respond to guests and co-workers in a positive and optimistic manner
