Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to prepare and oversee the complimentary breakfast and any scheduled “functions” on the premises. Provide customer service in accordance with the hotel's policies/procedures; to achieve and maintain guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
- Greet guests, visitors and staff in a courteous and friendly manner; must be able to initiate and engage in conversation.
- Respond to guests' needs, special requests and complaints.
- Restock drink, food items and other supplies as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area and surroundings.
- Clean Breakfast Room; take down displays, clean dishes, vacuum and mop (etc)
- Vacuum and mop: lobby area, hallway and bathrooms
- Dispose of trash and recyclables (down to dumpster)
- Complete “deep” cleaning item for the day (Monday-Friday)
- Receive supplies; date and rotate stock.
- Complete and record inventory (hand into Manager)
- Complete any BEO requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
- Must be able to lift 35-40 pounds
- Friendly demeanor and good customer service skills needed.
- Previous experience in customer-based business preferred.
