Title:Breakfast Kitchen SupervisorLocation:Bird-in-Hand, PAPosition:Amishview Inn & Suites Breakfast Kitchen SupervisorThe AmishView Inn & Suites Full-time Breakfast Kitchen Supervisor is responsible to assist the Kitchen Manager with ensuring that the kitchen team provides an outstanding guest experience by delivering great service and products in a clean, healthy and safe environment at this award-winning hotel. The Kitchen Supervisor will possess the ability to support the Kitchen Manager in training, developing, coaching and retraining employees while maintaining a healthy culture and keeping morale high by using accountability, fairness and consistency. The Kitchen Supervisor assists in overseeing compliance to established policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Kitchen Supervisor assists the Kitchen Manager with catering events, with ordering products and with maintaining cost and labor effective kitchen operations. This job posting qualifies for a $500 sign-on bonus, $100 after 30 days completed; $150 after 60 days completed and $250 after six months. Join this award winning team at Lancaster County's #1 Hotel. * Work 5-6 shifts per week, approximately 5:30/7am - 2:30pm on weekdays and weekends, occasional evening times required

* Maintain a positive morale.

* Understand and support company core values while training and interacting with team members and guests.

* Treat all team members and guests with courtesy and respect at all times.

* Interact with our guests to help our team provide an outstanding breakfast experience

* Open breakfast, cook and maintain food items on buffet

* Light grill work preparing made to order eggs and omelets

* Operate our small dish machine and help out as needed with general duties and cleanup in the kitchen and dining room

* Responsible to assist with catering events at the hotel, may be some evening events.

* Support Kitchen Manager with coaching and training fellow team members where needed. Help ensure that they have a full and accurate understanding of kitchen policies and procedures.

* Hold team members accountable to policies, procedures and standards through coaching, leading by example and performance management as needed.

* Help to control labor cost by keeping the team productive and managing co-workers and your time.

* Help with food cost through waste reduction and proper utilization of product.

* Responsible to assist with ordering food and beverage products.

* Responsible for rotation of foods produced and stored.

* Responsible for overall sanitation of work areas and report unsatisfactory conditions in other areas to the Kitchen Manager.

* Responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of food storage areas.

* Follow and train to food safety procedures as implemented by management and ServSafe standards.

* Test temperatures of foods to meet requirements of cold and hot foods.

* Insure and maintain integrity of all foods being served.

* Responsible to communicate information to the General Manager regarding grade of food, condition of equipment, and co-worker concerns that could impact business or operations, etc.

* Offer solutions to operational problems while on duty.

* Report malfunction of equipment to management.

* Responsible to keep open communication at all times with Kitchen Manager, GM and AGM.

* All other duties assigned.

* Minimun of two years leadership experience in restaurant/hospitality

* ServSafe Certified

* Display a positive and professional attitude at all times

* Excellent people skills with the ability to interact with guests, all levels of management, employees, other business units and businesses/non-profit organizations within the community

* Understanding of how to meet employees where they are at while maintaining positive company culture, policies and company core purpose and core values in the workplace

* Able to follow and give directions and communicate with both guests and coworkers effectively

* Produce a high quality of work to ensure we are delivering outstanding service

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to help coordinate catering events at the hotel

* Appropriate Time Management

* Understanding of controlling food and labor costs

* Ability to maintain confidentiality as directed

* Basic computer and keyboard skills

* Strong command of the English Language
