SUMMARY: The Breeder Operations Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and working closely with Breeder Service Technicians, Service Crew, and/or Growers to ensure the delivery of a quality product. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for scheduling and training of new Breeder Service Technicians. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. Must stay up-to-date with latest recommendations from the industry on breeder production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversee day-to-day management of the Breeder & Pullet teams, including scheduling of Service Techs and Service Crew Tour farms to inspect facilities and equipment for adequacy, sanitation and efficiency of operations. Provides communication and direction for contract pullet and breeder producers Receive, troubleshoot and respond to service calls involving major farm or grower issues Ensure training and development of Breeder & Pullet Service Tech team, including staying up to date on industry standards and providing adequate training Monitors and promotes driver safety with all Service TechsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requiredo Associates Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science, Management, related field or equivalent relevant experienceo 3+ years of experience in a live operations environmento 1 year of supervisory experienceo Must have strong communication skills both written and oral; communicate with persons at all levels within the company on a professional levelo Effective decision-making and problem-solving skillso Proven analytical skillso High level proficiency in the Microsoft office suite Preferredo Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Poultry Science, Animal Science or related field highly preferred
