Non-Competitive Title

Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative only)

Covers walls, ceilings, piers, columns, or any parts of structures with stucco,

cement, or lime motars, or either plastic materials;

Lays brick, concrete block and hollow tile for interior or exterior walls,

partitions, bulkheads, foundations and culverts;

Makes repairs to stone foundations and walls;

Repairs or replaces concrete walks, steps, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

A) Graduation from high school or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma and three (3) years of experience as a journeyman bricklayer; or

B) Five (5) years of experience as described in (A); or

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as described by the limits of (A) and (B).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

At time of appointment, possession of a valid New York State Class D Driver's License.
