Category Engineering Description McFarland Johnson (MJ) is seeking a passionate and driven Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Transportation practice in the Northeast. MJ fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where your ideas are valued, and your career goals are encouraged.Your Role:With a record retention rate of over 95%, you'll work and learn with a team of highly regarded professionals on bridge design and construction plan development for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects with State DOT and Municipal clients across the Northeast.MJ offers opportunities for professional growth and development along with a comprehensive compensation package including salary, bonus, 401(k) match and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) fully contributed by the firm.Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 4 - 8 years of experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and/or inspection.
  • EIT certification required, with PE or eligible to acquire PE preferred.
  • Previous project experience with State DOT's preferred.
  • Experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD highly desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively participate and collaborate as part of a project team.
