Location: Palm Beach,FL, USA
Performs advanced technical office and field work in the bridge inspection and guardrail programs. Supervises the preventative maintenance inspections of bridge structures including identification and reporting of deficiencies; reviews permit applications; investigates accidents, incidents and complaints. Provides information and acts as a liaison between other agencies, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Palm Beach County in regard to the bridge inspection program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in building and/or bridge construction, repair or inspection; which includes two (2) years of experience with administrative responsibilities in public works.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must apply for a FDOT Bridge Inspector Certification within 12 months of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR: National Highway Institute (NHI) Comprehensive Bridge Inspection training Certification.
