The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve.The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. A strong existing professional network and experience with DOT projects will assist in meeting the job requirements as a client-facing subject matter expert and project manager.Pay: $95,000 to $185,000/year with eligibility for bonusesBRIDGE PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.
- Point person and firm's contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
- Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
- Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.
- Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.
- Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects.
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing.
- Assist in informal development of other employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
BRIDGE PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- P.E. license required.
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
- Experience working with DOTs required.
- Project team leadership experience.
- Project and client management experience.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is preferred.
