Arkansas State University Mid-South (ASU Mid-South) is a comprehensive community college serving Crittenden County, Arkansas and the greater Memphis area. BRIDGE-AR is the U.S. Department of Labor funded healthcare training initiative of six community colleges - the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College, Southeast Arkansas Community College, Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas, East Arkansas Community College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, and ASU Mid-South. The purpose of this initiative is to address the healthcare workforce needs across the State by engaging underserved communities, including Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino students, in Nursing and Emergency Medical Technician pathways.ASU Mid-South's BRIDGE-AR Project Director is a newly created, grant-funded position which reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness. This individual must be highly motivated, organized, deadline driven, and detail-oriented, with a passion for helping individuals attain success in entering and persisting in the healthcare workforce. A compelling combination of educational background, work experience, and professional credentials will be considered in the identification of the successful candidate. The position is a full-time, 12-month position with full college benefits.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in business administration, educational leadership, organizational management, healthcare administration, or a related field. Minimum of three years' work experience, demonstrating the ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple projects at the same time. Prior grant-related work experience preferred; experience working in a community college setting a plus. Experience in providing comprehensive case management services, including intake processes, development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), academic and career advising, progress monitoring, referrals, follow-ups, assistance with goal setting and barrier resolution, and maintaining case management files and documentation. Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as to coordinate and collaborate with multiple internal and external teams. Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and time management skills. Proficient technology skills in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel. Experience in and appreciation for working with individuals of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities. Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed.Primary Responsibilities Serve as BRIDGE-AR Project Director.Coordinate activities in support of the project scope of work and attainment of targeted outcomes related to participation, completion, credential attainment, and employment.Collaborate with other BRIDGE-AR institutions to identify tools, resources, and practices for helping students succeed.Manage the project budget and collaborate with Finance staff regarding monthly reconciliation and financial reporting.Manage the project timeline and communicate requirements to other College departments and administration, helping to facilitate their timely completion.Assist with BRIDGE-AR recruitment, orientation, and follow-up processes.Maintain accurate, complete, and timely participant and grant documentation.Submit reports and other required grant records and documentation by established deadlines.Manage the administration of student supports, as applicable, to help ensure persistence and successful completion of education and training activities.Adhere to compliance requirements identified by the College and the grantor.Participate in grant-related meetings and activities. Perform case management functions.Provide comprehensive case management and career coaching services to grant participants.Administer grant intake processes and determine participant eligibility.Maintain participant data tracking system and document student progress, attainment of academic credentials and industry certifications, completion of training, and employment.Meet with each participant at regularly designated intervals to mentor, coach, provide support, maintain up-to-date participant files, and help to resolve participant challenges and barriers. OtherCollaborate with internal and external partners to leverage services and resources and to support effective talent pipelines.Interact effectively with other College departments and external entities to achieve grant goals and objectives.Participate in professional development activities, serve on appropriate College committees as the project representative, and perform other duties as assigned in support of grant objectives.Salary: $55,000 with full college benefits.
