Big Win: A contract employee who ensures Liquid's front-of-house live sound experience is executed with consistency and quality every Sunday.The Audio Engineer serves under the Worship Experience Pastor and collaborates closely with the Music Director, Production Director, and Technology Director. In a contracted position, the schedule generally includes Sunday support with additional hourly opportunities based on needs at Liquid Church. (Rehearsals, Worship Nights, Additional Events)Responsibilities'Front of House' Engineer
  • Sunday Morning FOH Mixing - Operate the audio system for Sunday services, including live worship, speakers, and video elements.
  • Wednesday Rehearsal FOH Mixing - Operate the audio system for midweek evening Worship Rehearsal.
  • Audio Systems Setup - Responsible for microphone placement on drums and amps, assisting with patching/cabling, and troubleshooting issues like signal flow and in-ear mixes.
  • Live Stream Monitoring - Ensure the quality of our Church Online live stream, which receives its audio from the FOH mix.
  • Weekend Availability - This role requires availability for the majority of Sundays throughout the year, with a particular focus on key weekends such as Easter, Christmas Eve, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
  • Additional Events - This position is also our 'preferred first' call for events such as Worship Nights, Volunteer events, and live music venue rentals in our Broadcast Campus.
Preferred Audio Experience & Knowledge
  • Previous Front of House (FOH) experience in a church setting.
  • General knowledge of contemporary worship mixing techniques and equipment, including plugins, microphones, EQ presets, etc.
  • Experience or familiarity with:
    • Dante Network
    • Yamaha CL5 Audio Console
    • Waves Sound Grid
  • Basic experience with audio post-production elements, such as mastering stereo files.
  • Familiarity with contemporary worship artists like Elevation Worship, Belonging Co., and Bethel Music.
  • Experience working with omnidirectional headset microphones for communicators.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of live sound consoles, signal flow, and live mixing techniques.
  • Abilities: Able to thrive in a collaborative environment and consistently create excellence, even when facing challenges.
  • Schedule: Availability on Sundays from setup to teardown, with minimal weekend call-outs or cancellations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relational Ability: A people person who can work effectively with staff and volunteers of diverse personality types.
  • Leadership: Capable of working under pressure with a positive and optimistic attitude.
  • Faith: Seeking a candidate with a vibrant faith who understands how to shape a worship experience in a contemporary church setting, particularly in the role of an audio engineer at our broadcast campus.
