Location: New York,NY, USA
Position Summary:
The Office of the Commissioner seeks a Part Time Broadcast Engineer to support the MLB Replay Operations Center and all (30) MLB franchises.
Responsibilities:
* Verify ballpark equipment including video servers and communication equipment
* Document equipment status and verify incoming video streams for Replay
* Communicate with local technicians and Replay Operators to coordinate video requests and equipment confirmations
* Keep detailed and thorough notes and documentation
* Assist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all broadcast devices
Skills & Experience:
* Have fundamental understanding of Broadcast technology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to read and understand technical materials
* Ability to recognize and troubleshoot issues in infrastructure environments and software applications
* Ability to work well with others within a team environment and without direct supervision
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Knowledge of the following equipment a bonus:
Evertz systems, Hawkeye systems, Riedel Intercoms, Remote camera operations, etc.
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $30.00 to $30.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
