Job Description Housekeeper Position in Brooklyn Heights Brooklyn, NY Compensation: Full-time, UP TO $45/HOUR DOE + Monthly health insurance stipend Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with flexibility for accommodating changes as needed. Start Date: September Position Overview Our clients, a warm, friendly family of three in Brooklyn Heights, are seeking a dedicated, intuitive Housekeeper who thrives in a supportive environment and can maintain the household with attention to detail. This role involves working closely with the family, who run a welcoming, organized home. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in housekeeping, exude genuine warmth, and possess an authentic desire to maintain an efficient household while radiating a positive vibe. We are seeking someone who is not just a housekeeper but a valued part of the family's home life, capable of managing both the routine and unexpected with exceptional skill and grace. Key Responsibilities
  • General Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness throughout the four-story townhouse, including beds, bathrooms, floors, and communal areas.
  • Laundry & Wardrobe Care: Manage laundry with great attention to fabric care and wardrobe maintenance, ensuring clothing is well-cared for and organized.
  • Time Management: Create a daily/weekly plan to complete all tasks efficiently, adjusting to any changes due to the family's needs.
  • Pet Care: Occasionally assist with the care of the dog and cat, ensuring a
  • pet-friendly yet clean environment.
  • Communication & Reading the Room: Develop a good rapport with the family and the House Manager to proactively address any concerns, communicate about tasks, and maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to the evolving routines as the family settles into the new home and travel requirements.
  • Organization & Planning: Assist the family and House Manager with to-do lists, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed effectively.
  • Tech Savvy: Utilize relevant technology to streamline tasks and ensure efficiency. Desired Qualities & Skills
  • Warm & Intuitive: Foster a compassionate, approachable atmosphere while maintaining boundaries.
  • Thorough Knowledge of Housekeeping Tasks: Understand the full scope of housekeeping responsibilities, especially with laundry and wardrobe care.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate directly, give and receive feedback constructively, and work well with the family and House Manager.
  • Time Management: Manage daily and weekly tasks efficiently without requiring direct oversight.
  • Self-starter: Take initiative and ensure tasks are completed proactively and independently.
  • Pet & Child Friendly: Comfortable working in a household with a child and pets.
