Function:
The Bank Secrecy Act/Corporate Security Assistant will assist in conducting customer monitoring as well as protect the physical security of AmeriServ Financial, Inc. and all affiliate entities. The BSA/CS Assistant will work with BSA and CS to manage policy, procedure, and process to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC Regulations as well as the execution of the Company's Physical Security Program.
Duties:
Bank Secrecy Act Department:
Assist the BSA staff in conducting OFAC screenings to ensure proper compliance with economic sanctions.
Review and analyze daily Cash Transaction Reports to detect and file CTRs appropriately.
On a monthly basis, compare customer base to several high-risk lists to determine the need for high-risk reviews.
Escalate high-risk findings to the Assistant BSA Officer for review and enhanced due diligence.
Aid in performing KYC (Know Your Customer) checks for accounts opened by all lines of business to confirm compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Aid in reviewing new customer documentation to ensure all necessary due diligence and Beneficial Ownership information has been obtained and recorded according to policy.
On a monthly basis, review wire transfer reports to ensure proper documentation as obtained and detect any suspicious activity.
Periodically aide in the enhancement of internal BSA and Anti-Money Laundering risk mitigating procedures.
Provide support with the implementation of current BSA Department special projects as needed.
Corporate Security:
Support the physical security devices including alarm panels, and surveillance DVR/camera equipment.
Monitor Access Control measures that are designed to protect the assets and facilities of the organization to include but no limited to access to lock combinations, alarm codes, key control, bait money, proper security guard coverage, exterior lighting, and enforcing Company ID Badge procedures.
Assist the CSO with the approval/creation process of ID Badges and maintaining Badge Logs.
Assist with any investigation of internal and external fraud incidents. Protect property from theft, embezzlement, and sabotage. Report all suspicious activity to the BSA Department as appropriate.
Help perform after hour business inspections and annual fire drills at all AmeriServ locations.
Assist in delivering an effective corporate/physical security training and educational program, involving front office and visitor security, security guard force and specialized training programs for executives, managers, special employees and field employees.
Assist with the completion of Risk Assessments, Corporate Risk, WolfPac, Info Sec and Audit.
Support the collection and management of all restitution payments, ensuring they are assigned and allocated to the proper responsibility centers.
Reconcile all security reports to include, A21, Computer Room, corporate key access, monthly security checklists, password logs, etc

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.

Required Education and Experience:
An Associate Degree in a banking-related field or a minimum of five (5) years banking experience is required. Candidate should possess strong analytical skills with a basic knowledge of various banking practices.
