Budget and Administrative Business Intelligence AnalystJob SummaryThe Health Information Management Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist role has primary responsibility for serving as a consultant in gathering business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing complex healthcare business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. The BI Specialist leads in support with various Health Information Management initiatives and special projects. The position requires a high level of leadership, creativity, innovation, communication, analytical organization, priority setting, and ownership. The BI Specialist effectively collaborates with the Director of Health Information Management and health system leadership to ensure HIM strategical initiatives and projects effectiveness. The successful incumbent requires expert knowledge of healthcare delivery systems as well as process improvement tools and techniques. The incumbent establishes day-to-day priorities and work guidelines to achieve accurate and timely results. Work is performed independently, under the general direction of the Health Information Management Director and or HIM Leadership.Apply By Date 11/17/2024 by 11:59pmMinimum QualificationsFor full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field/discipline.Extensive professional-level experience in data gathering, analytics, and understanding of factors influencing projections.Experience in advanced data gathering, organizing, and reporting, especially within the healthcare industry.Experience working with end users, cross-functional teams, and multiple levels of leadership in a healthcare preferred.Ability to work in a dynamic collaborative team environment with sound negotiation and critical thinking skills.Ability to function effectively under deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy and adapting to changing priorities.Ability to work independently and use initiative to obtain information in order to complete assignments.Advanced critical thinking skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.Knowledge of the clinical computer environment including hardware, software, and application software. The department, which consists of over 200 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) across diverse units, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and compliance of patient information, which is crucial for clinical decision-making, billing accuracy, and regulatory adherence.The department includes key groups such as Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity (IP/OP CDI), All Coding Operations, the CDI Coding Quality Analyst Group, the HIM Clinical Analyst Team, and the Provider Advocate Team. Each of these teams plays a specialized role in supporting the organization's health information needs.Together, these teams ensure that the department not only supports day-to-day clinical operations but also plays a key role in broader strategic initiatives.
